Course Content
Ideal for teachers and child support staff, designed specifically for the school environment This course includes:
  • Assess and prioritise a first aid incident
  • Deal with an unconscious casualty
  • Deal with an adult or child who is choking
  • Carry out CPR on adults and children
  • Recognition and treatment of shock and choking
  • Control bleeding
  • Recognise and deal with a wide range of injuries, major medical conditions and childhood illnesses
  • Maintain records
  • Use and maintain first aid kits
A course designed to meet the needs of the work environment. It is ideal for businesses needing to qualify staff to the level of Appointed Persons to take responsibility for a first aid emergency and the first aid box in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. This course is also recommended for staff in larger organisations giving support to First Aiders.

Certification
Students are continually assessed throughout the course, those who complete the course and reach the required standard are issued with a First Aid certificate as considered appropriate for Appointed Persons in the workplace which is valid for three years.
