First Aid Training Courses - First Aid Refresher Course

Description

A course for qualified First Aiders to update their practical skills and knowledge. Upon completion of this course, your first aid certificate will be renewed for a further three years. This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Outcome

At the end of the course students will be able to:

Assess and prioritise a first aid incident
Deal with an unconscious casualty
Carry out CPR
Control bleeding and manage shock
Recognise and deal with a broad range of injuries and medical emergencies until the arrival of medical care
Be aware of any updates in practice or legislation
Maintain records
Use and maintain first aid kits

Pre-Requisites

Must hold a current First Aid at Work certificate

Certification

On successful completion of the course students will be awarded 'First Aid at Work' certification, approved for the purpose of the Health and Safety (first aid) regulations 1981, which is valid for three years.
