First Aid Training Courses - Basic First Aid Appointed Persons Training

Description

A course designed to meet the needs of the work environment. It is ideal for businesses needing to qualify staff to the level of Appointed Persons to take responsibility for a first aid emergency and the first aid box in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. This course is also recommended for staff in larger organisations giving support to First Aiders.

Outcome

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

Assess and prioritise a first aid incident
Deal with an unconscious casualty
Carry out CPR on an unconscious casualty
Control bleeding and manage shock
Recognition and treatment of some medical conditions such as heart attacks
Treatment of burns
Management of fractures
Maintain records
Use and maintain first aid kits

Pre-Requisites

None

Certification

On successful completion of the course participants will be awarded an Appointed Persons certificate valid for 3 years.
