First Aid Training Courses - Training in the use of an Automatic External Defibrillation

Description

A course designed to teach the safe and effective use of the Automatic External Defibrillator to improve the chance of survival for a person suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest.

Outcome

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

Demonstrate effective basic life support
Understand the concept of defibrillation.
Safe and effective use of an Automatic External Defibrillator.
Combine basic life support with automatic external defibrillation

Pre-Requisites

None

Certification

On successful completion of the course and final assessment students will be awarded a certificate of competence which is valid for six months. To maintain certification students will have to attend a short (approx 2 hours) refresher course.
